Sutton’s Summer 2026 Events Calendar: What’s Happening – and Where to Stay

Sutton doesn’t have one big summer event. It has a full season of them – stacked from June through August, each drawing a different crowd and a different energy. If you’re planning a chalet trip and trying to pick your weekend, here’s what’s on the calendar.

June 5-7 – Gravelooza Bromont

A major gravel and cycling festival in Bromont, 30 minutes from Sutton. If your group is on bikes of any kind – road, gravel, MTB – this is the opener for the season. Sutton’s trail network and wine route roads make excellent training ground around the event.

June 24-26 – Fête Nationale (Saint-Jean-Baptiste)

The biggest holiday in Quebec. Sutton comes alive – markets, music, the full village energy. Wednesday through Friday this year, which means a long weekend for anyone taking Friday off. Genuinely one of the most festive times of the year to be in Sutton.

July 10-12 – Into The Gnar MTB Festival

First-time Quebec edition of the national Devinci MTB event. Mont Sutton’s 47+ km of lift-served trails are the venue. If you ride, this is the weekend.

July 11-19 – Tour des Arts

The Eastern Townships’ summer arts circuit. Local studios, galleries, and artists open their doors across the region – a completely different kind of weekend if your group is more culture than cardio. The Tour des Arts opening weekend overlaps directly with Into The Gnar, which means July 10-12 has dual demand from two entirely different audiences.

July 19 – August 1 – Quebec Construction Holiday

Quebec’s two-week summer vacation bloc. This is when families move – campsites fill, rentals fill, everything fills. The tail end of this period, August 1, is also Swiss National Day at Mont Sutton – one of the largest Swiss National Day celebrations outside Switzerland, drawing visitors specifically to Sutton village.

August 6-9 – Traditional Fiddle Festival

A multi-day folk and traditional music festival in Sutton village. Thursday through Sunday, with the main program on Friday to Sunday. The festival fills the village with a warm, local energy – completely different from the MTB crowd, equally good for a summer weekend.

August 20-22 – Spirit of Potton

An outdoor festival in Mansonville, 15 minutes from Sutton. Live music, local producers, outdoor setting. Low-key and distinctly Eastern Townships – the kind of thing you stumble into and can’t believe you didn’t know about sooner.

Every Saturday, May 16 – October 31 – Marché du Samedi de Sutton

The Sutton Saturday market runs all season long. Local producers, seasonal food, artisans. Worth building your Saturday morning around, every single week. Five minutes from the chalet.

Where to Stay

Sutton Nest Chalet sleeps six – three bedrooms, two bathrooms, private outdoor spa, forest trail to the village from the back door. It’s positioned as well as anything in Sutton for a group wanting full access to everything above without living out of a car.
