SPA / Hot Tub

If you’re planning to spend time in the SPA, there are a few things to keep in mind to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

It’s important to keep in mind that the heat in a SPA can cause your body temperature to rise quickly, which can be dangerous if you’re not careful. We want to make sure that you avoid overheating and stay safe during your SPA experience.

To avoid overheating, we recommend that you limit the amount of time you spend in the heated areas of the SPA. Take regular breaks, and listen to your body’s signals to know when it’s time to step back and take a break.

The recommended temperature is 100 degrees F.

It’s also important to stay hydrated and drink plenty of water to help regulate your body temperature. We birds love to drink plenty of fresh water, and we recommend that you do the same. Drink lots of water before, during, and after your SPA experience to help keep your body hydrated and healthy. Avoid alcohol and caffeine, which can dehydrate you and cause you to overheat more easily.

If you start to feel dizzy, lightheaded, or nauseous, exit the heated area immediately and seek out a cool, shaded spot to rest. If your symptoms persist or worsen, seek medical attention right away.

By being mindful of your body’s responses and taking steps to avoid overheating, you can have a safe and enjoyable SPA experience.

We also want to make sure that you’re aware of any potential hazards during your SPA experience. One common hazard to watch out for is slippery stairs or surfaces around the SPA.

Water from the pool or steam rooms can make surfaces slippery and increase the risk of falls. We recommend that you wear shoes with non-slip soles and use handrails or grab bars to help keep your balance when navigating stairs or other slippery surfaces.

Take your time and be cautious when moving around the SPA.

By being aware of the potential for slippery surfaces and taking appropriate precautions, you can help prevent falls and injuries during your SPA experience. We want you to have a relaxing and enjoyable time at the SPA, so stay safe and be careful!

We want to remind you of the importance of regularly adding chemicals to the SPA. Proper chemical treatment is essential to maintaining clean and safe water for you to enjoy.

We recommend that you check the floating defuser to make sure at least 3 Bromo tabs are there at any time. This will help prevent the growth of harmful bacteria and keep the water balanced and healthy.

Once or twice a week grab a sample of the water from the SPA (plastic bottle could be found on the shelf with the chemicals) and bring it for the test to Club Piscine (160 Rue de Sherbrooke, Cowansville, QC J2K 3Y9). They will advise if any adjustments are required. All needed chemicals are available in the cottage.

Also, please add the following chemicals once a week:

  • 1 to 2 tablespoons of Activ’Clair
  • 89 ml of Jacuzzi SPA Scale Control

You can find a measuring plastic spoon and a measuring cup on the shelf with the SPA chemicals.

By taking the time to treat the water properly, you can ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

It is also important to rinse the filters at least once a week. Here is a short video showing the process:

The SPA is located outside for maximum enjoyment after the active day.

But this also means that it requires additional care.

Here are the rules:

  • Keep the lid closed at all time when the SPA not in use.
  • Clean the lid from the snow.
  • Clean the snow around the SPA, the stairs and the balcony.

Bath

There are two bathrooms available. One for each floor. They are fully equipped so, unless you have a special needs, you don’t need to bring anything with you.

Coffee

There is a coffee corner on the left side from the back door. There you can find the coffee machine, kettle, manual coffee grinder and three glass containers – one for the sugar, one for the coffee beans and one for the ground coffee (if needed).

Coffee brewing is very personal experience. We found that 17 grams of beans with 2.5 cups of water works the best for our taste.

You can find the bag of the coffee beans.

This is our gift for you. Hope you will enjoy it.
